[Article] Kim Hyun Joong: From Flower Boy To Beastly Boxer

Newly released images of Kim Hyun Joong show how far the idol has come from his former flower boy image to become Shin Jung Tae for Inspiring Generation. Kim Hyun Joong displays heart stopping masculinity with hard cut muscles that attest to a grueling workout regimen. Gone are his flowing locks that were seen in Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss, with a natural short cut complimenting the more mature look. Scars and blood help to add to Kim Hyun Joong's allure, as he has clearly moved beyond portraying emotionally placid characters such as Boys Over Flowers Yoon Ji Hoo.

Drama audiences fell in love with Kim Hyun Joong's portrayal of the sweetly tempered Yoon Ji Hoo in the 2009 drama Boys Over Flowers. Yoon Ji Hoo fiercely protected Goo Hye Sun's Geum Jan Di from the perils of life at Shinhwa High School. In true Korean drama fashion, Kim Hyun Joong became a victim of second lead syndrome and relinquished Geun Jan Di to Lee Min Ho's Goo Jun Pyo. With the worldwide success of KBS2's Boys Over Flowers, the image of Kim Hyun Joong as an innocent flower boy became embellished in audiences minds and hearts.

Audiences will still have a place in their hearts for Yoon Ji Hoo.

In 2010, Kim Hyun Joong followed the success of Boys Over Flowers with his portrayal of the intellectually brilliant, but emotionally stunted Baek Seung Jo in Playful Kiss. Baek Seung Jo added more allure to Kim Hyun Joong's flower boy image. By comparison, Baek Seung Jo was not necessarily a character who all viewers supported, due to his lack of emotion towards Jung So Min's Oh Ha Ni. However, Baek Seung Jo was able to recognize his emotions and win Oh Ha Ni's hand.

Kim Hyun Joong's portrayal of Baek Seung Jo allowed fans to continue carrying the flower boy torch.

Hints of Kim Hyun Joong's current physical appearance were seen during his 2013 comeback concept for Unbreakable. Musically and physically, Kim Hyun Joong's style resembled that of groups like 2PM and BEAST. Audiences were shocked to see his boyish charms replaced, but embraced his comeback. It is clear from the photos released for Inspiring Generation that Kim Hyun Joong has worked even harder to obtain a more manly appearance. With an emphasis on strong athleticism and martial arts, Kim Hyun Joong proves that he is more than just a pretty face in Inspiring Generation.

Kim Hyun Joong will make his return to KBS2 on January 15th with Inspiring Generation. The drama will be in the time slot the Wednesday-Thursday 21:55 time slot which t was previously occupied by Pretty Man. The time slot will place Inspiring Generation against the ratings juggernaut that is currently My Love From The Stars. It will be fascinating to see Kim Hyun Joong portray a role that requires emotional complexity mixed with displays of anger and aggression.

[Article] Kim Hyung Jun Gathers Crowds of Fans Everywhere in Peru

Kim Hyung Jun proved his popularity in Peru.

According to S Plus, Kim Hyung Jun’s agency, Kim Hyung Jung’s fans crowded the airport in Lima, Peru, to get a glimpse of the star in person, and followed him everywhere he went, including the press meeting site, concert, lodgings and restaurants.

In particular, the fans crowded around the press meeting site, causing traffic on the road and shouting his name as they waited for him outside.

Numerous press media in Peru also reported on his visit and performances, proving his popularity in South America.

Kim Hyung Jun successfully finished his schedule appearances in Peru after arriving on January 10, and is currently headed to Chile to hold a concert on January 15 followed by a concert in Bolivia on January 17.

Meanwhile, after finishing his ten day trip around South America, Kim Hyun Jun will hold a solo concert in Korea celebrating three years since his debut as a soloist and perform a duet with Park Jung Min.

[Interview] Exclusive Interview with SS501's Park Jung Min.

Recently, all Triple S's in the UK had their hearts broken when it was announced that Park Jung Min had to cancel the London concert date of his european tour due to a conflicting schedule. As Park Jung Min will be missing out on meeting his dedicated UK fans, London Oppa have been able to interview Park Jung Min exclusively, so he can at least access his UK fans. Of course this can't mend the broken hearts, but I hope it refills you with hope that Park Jung Minwill hopefully come back to London one day.

Q: What is SS501 to you?

PJM: SS501 is like home to me. Where I was born, always make me feel warm and safe.

Q: Your drama fondant garden was very successful; do you have plans to participate in more dramas?

PJM: If there a good opportunity. Sure will do more. And now I have movie shooting schedule in Japan this February, and another Korean movie is planning.

Q: What’s the thing you like most about yourself?

PJM: I am good at leading people, well organize and optimistic.

Q: Do you have plans to do more musicals?

PJM: No, plan at current, but it will be nice if I could do once a year.

Q: When will you be doing Korean promotions again?

PJM: I already have a lot plan; I think I will start acting in Korea first, please look forward to it.

Q: How did you create your split personality Romeo?

PJM: I received a lot of support and love start when I am SS501. I want people to know how I grow up those years, from IDOL Park Jung Min to ARTIST Park Jung Min. Now is the time for fans to know, I could have many different appearance.

Q: How is Romeo different to you?

PJM: Music style and the personality.

Q: What inspired you for Romeo to be a vampire?

PJM: Deep inside of Park Jung Min may have some part like vampire? Where is the inspiration come from? I think is come from the heart.

Q: You were once Park Danny, do you miss playing that role?

PJM: Danny is my first acting, I was had a lot of fun. It’s a precious memory. I do contact with other actors sometimes.

[News] Kim Hyung Jun to Perform Duet with Park Jung Min for Korea Concert

Kim Hyung Jun will hold his solo concert in February.

Kim Hyung Jun’s solo concert is scheduled to take place on February 8, at Yonsei University, celebrating the third year since his debut as a soloist.

He has been keeping himself busy by acting in numerous dramas, such as My Shining Girl, Late Blossom and Love Rides the Song.

In order to return the favor of fans, who have been waiting for his stage performances, he will be holding a concert to present new songs.

The upcoming concert will also be joined by Park Jung Min, who will perform a new duet song with Kim Hyung Jun.

Meanwhile, Kim Hyung Jun left for South America on January 10 to hold concert tour in Peru, Chile, Bolivia and more.
