Actor and singer Kim Hyun Joong recently heated up Japan by giving a spectacular performance.
On August 10, Kim Hyun Joong attended a charity concert for the ’2012 Jingugaien Firework Festival,’ which was held in Japan, as a special guest and performed the grand finale.
The festival is one of three firework festivals in Japan and over 150,000 to 200,000 people gather to see the beautiful fireworks and live performances.
Kim Hyun Joong was invited to the concert to perform the grand finale and he proved his explosive popularity in Japan by receiving the most time to perform among all Korean and Japanese singers.
Kim Hyun Joong started his performance by singing “Let’s Party” from his second EP. Then he performed seven songs, including, “Heat” and “Breakdown.”
Kim Hyun Joong’s agency, Key East, says, “Tens of thousands of people attended one of the biggest festivals in Japan. Fans from various countries, including Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, crowded the venue."
Kim Hyun Joong has been receiving considerable attention from Japan by releasing his official EP earlier this year. Then he released his second Japanese EP Heat in July and ranked first on the Oricon daily and weekly chart by selling over 196,850 copies. He is receiving offers to hold his exclusive concert, fan meeting, and to appear on commercials in Japan.
