South Korean singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong is sweeping the whole of Asia with his charisma!

Starting this past January, Kim Hyun Joong entered the Japanese market with his single album, and then launched his fan meeting tour in May which took him to countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and others as his popularity level continues to surge.

Kim Hyun Joong appeared on a famous Chinese entertainment program.

The show has been the most popular entertainment show in China for 15 years, and currently, approximately 700 million people viewed the show.

Korean singer and musical actor Park Jung-min is coming back to the local music scene with his first self-produced single album.

Park revealed the second teaser video through his official Facebook page on Monday. “Beautiful,” the lead single of his second local single album, is set to drop on November 14.

Compared to his first teaser featuring Park’s neat looks in red and silver suits, the 26-year-old singer showed more natural and dandy looks in the second one.

His official Japanese website described “Beautiful” as a danceable tune with acoustic string sounds that would show Park’s whole new style and his passion to music.

Park made his debut as a member of popular boy band SS501 in 2005 and has appeared in various television shows as well as starring in musicals such as “Greece” in 2008.

Singer Park Jung Min and designer Song Hye Myung have been pitched against each other in a big knot of a relationship.

Song Hye Myung has insisted she and Park Jung Min were lovers and that Park Jung Min merely used her in that relationship, while Park Jung Min′s side has denied their relationship stretched beyond their work.


On October 29, Song Hye Myung first spilled her side of the story through her Facebook page, leaving a long post that talked about how the two met, how Park Jung Min was uncooperative on the issue of clothing sponsors and how he was also insincere in their relationship.

Her post started, “Thank you for making me a loser,” and continued, aimed at Park Jung Min, “You didn′t do your work, and left it all to others. You told me to contact your new agency but I was treated like a shameless woman trying to use you, and I never got to contact you.”

She then added, “You contacted me in November but [...] once your situation became difficult again you left me to myself. You went missing again as always and I was becoming the fool in your company folk′s eyes.”

“Were you weighing me against another person? Then were you lying to me?” she asked. “What was I to you? Was I just someone you could easily use when you needed me?”
She finished, “I just want you to respect me. I smashed all of the presents you gave me. You should burn all the presents I gave you too.”

When the post exploded all over the web and backlash ensued, Song Hye Myung decided to delete the post and leave another explaining her situation.

“I think I just said something that wasn′t worth saying. I′m not very good at quarrels… They′re just treating me like a crazy person.. I didn′t even want to think about it.. but I′m not the fragile kind that just thinks things over alone.. What′s important to me is my situation. I′m not very smart, so I can′t lie either,” she said in the new post.

She also said, “Don′t [lies] become a nuisance later on because they grow? What do you mean I′m threatening him… I do have a temper but what could I get out of threatening him????? I guess time will heal all wounds. I said everything I wanted to say, I didn′t lie even one bit and I′m not someone who lives in her own fantasy… Did I make my payback? Park Jung Min and his agency have denied Park Jung Min and Song Hye Myung were in a relationship. Park Jung Min did model for Song Hye Myung′s fashion show in April, but Park Jung Min′s agency has said there was nothing more in their relationship.

A rep told enews, “They met as work partners. There were problems regarding the clothing, but this was a problem between the stylist and the company. It′s not true that the two were lovers.”

On October 30, an official from the agency then told enews, “After the articles were released, we tried to contact her, but she didn′t pick up. She then sent a text message to staff to talk about how she feels.”

On October 29th, the designer wrote the following on her Facebook page, “Park Jung Min, thanks for making me pitiful.” After snagging fans’ attention with the first line, she continued to reveal how she had dated Park Jung Min, and that she had continuously held him in favor but he had only used her.

In a post that she has since deleted, she wrote, “I’m human, too, so I think I’m going to beat my chest and have high blood pressure from frustration for the next 500 years if I don’t say anything. [News] Park Jung Min’s Former Agency Refuses to Accept the Court’s Decision Over Termination of Contract

On 9th August, Korean singer Park Jung Min’s former agency CNR Media, released statement via report, expressed that “The company and legal affairs correspondent HwaWoo will not accept the court’s decision, therefore lodged a counter appeal”.

According to CNR Media, in 2011, company’s total revenue estimated around 1.1 billion won, pre-paid Park Jung Min 400million won to sign the contract. Also, in early 2011, the company has paid 150million won, said to be the highest pay among artist of the same level. However, towards the payday for second half of 2011, Park Jung Min asked for 80% of total revenue, which amounts to more than 700million won.

For this, CNR Media person-in-charge expressed, “This is too much to ask, this is asked in order to terminate his contract with the company. Although Park Jung Min filed a lawsuit against the company with the reason of unfair payment. However, even if the company was to come to an agreement, but was unable to meet his need because the amount he asked for is way different from the actual pay.”.

Furthermore, Hwaboo who is the in charge of legal affairs at CNR Media, also expressed that, “In this matter, the artist’s request was too much, the company’s payment was reasonable, but still he filed a lawsuit to terminate the contract, without giving an attempt to settle the affair with the company, and has started activities on his own. Therefore, we refuse to accept the court’s decision in terminating the contract, thus decided lodge a counter appeal. Also, we have many related supporting documents.”
CNR Media official also revealed that because Park Jung Min said to the media, “Park Jung Min only works, but did not receive money”, has caused a great loss to the company, hindering the company to continue it’s business in entertainment industry.

Park Jung Min signed a 3-year contract with CNR media in October 2010, filed a lawsuit to terminate contract in April 2012. On 31st July, Seoul Central District Court has ordered the appeal for termination of contract to be valid. CNR then released an official statement and to lodge a counter appeal over the court’s decision.

The Nikkan Gendai article termed Tomohisa (Yamapi) as Johnny Entertainment's 'Ace level' (elite idol), and, "Now (he's) lost to Kim Hyun Joong who is of the rookie category, resulting in a grave atmosphere throughout Johnny Entertainment. SS501 member Kim Kyu Jong will complete his basic military training for four weeks starting July 23, according to a notice posted by B2M Entertainment on his personal website on June 26.

After training, he will serve as public service personnel instead of being on active duty due to health reasons. He is currently finishing his album before his enlistment.
He will be the first member of SS501 to enlist in the army.
While Kim Kyu Jong will be entering the army, a Korean actor is facing harsh criticism for allegedly dodging his military service.

Kim Moo Yul is hounded by controversy after he filed for exemption from military service, citing poverty as reason.
The actor, who starred in dramas “Iljimae” in 2008 and “Wife Returns” in 2009, filed the application in 2010.

Korean media said Kim Moo Yul earned approximately 300 million won (P11 million) from 2007 to 2009, thus he cannot use poverty as reason for military exemption.
Back in 2001, the actor was declared fit to serve the military after undergoing medical exam. Between 2007 and 2009, he didn’t enlist in the military, saying that he was preparing for civil service exams.

The Korean JoongAng Daily quoted Kim Moo Yul’s agency as saying that his family is really poor and that the actor is the sole breadwinner.

"At the time of his enrolling at Sungkyunkwan University in 2002, his family's financial] condition was so bad that he was almost unable to continue his studies. He considered joining a special military force after he heard that he could make 30 million won [P1.1 million] by doing that, but he put off going to the military after his father collapsed due to a cerebral hemorrhage and he began taking care of all of his family members,” said Yeo Jun-yeong, head of Prain TPC, according to the newspaper.

SS501 Kim Kyu Jong’s enlistment date confirmed

Kim Kyu Jong‘s military enlistment date has been confirmed for this July 23rd.

The SS501 member, the first of the group to enter mandatory military service, will report for alternative service duty after four weeks of basic training. Agency B2M Entertainment also revealed that he’ll be releasing a “thank you” track for fans before his enlistment date.

Kim Kyu Jong previously announced in a handwritten letter to fans that he would soon be serving in the military. He stated, “The reason I’m writing a letter to fans for the first time in a while is that I’m going to be enlisting in July.”

Kyu Jong also held a fan meeting earlier this month asking fans to wait until his return.

According to the names that appeared on the ranking list, names of male celebrities such as Kim Hee Chul, Hero Jae Joong, Kim Hyun Joong, Yoo Ho Seok, Lee Hong Ki, El, Jang Geun Suk, and Tae Min were raised.

Responses such as the following were seen on the discussion board as well, “I wish you’ll stop being so pretty”, “Looks that even girls will feel jealous of”, “What’s their secret to becoming prettier?”

Actor-singer Kim Hyun Joong attended Pure Arena’senvironmental awareness event “Save the Earth” this morning today morning at Jongru-gu, Seoul. Wearing just a casual t-shirt and jeans, Kim Hyun Joong spent a few memorable hours with about 20 fans.

Kim Hyun Joong even expressed that this was an indeedmemorable event and thought it was rewarding.

Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong shared his thoughts on starting a new project.

Kim Hyun Joong attended an event for casual brand Hang Ten Korea‘s ‘Save The Earth‘ campaign held at a café in Seoul on June 13th.

It was here that he opened up about taking up a role in the new drama series, ‘City Conquest‘. “I will begin my new album promotions in Japan starting July 4th, and will begin filming in mid-July,” he said.

He also updated fans on what he’s been up to. The singer who recently wrapped up a fan meeting tour in China remarked, “People think I’m resting if I’m not working in Korea. My cleaning lady even asked if I wasn’t working. To be honest, I work all year round. I receive instrument lessons, and I’m going to start attending action acting school. I will make sure to show you a new side of myself through ‘City Conquest’.”

‘City Conquest’ was originally an adult comic about main character Baek Mir (to be played by Kim Hyun Joong) who lives his life resenting the father that left his mother. He seeks revenge against the society that drove his family to ruins.

First published in 1996, “City Conquest” is a Korean comic book that printed over 270 issues. It’s about a Baek Mir (Kim Hyun Joong’s role) who blames his father that abandoned his family, and fights against corruption in the society.
