[Trans] SS501 Park Jung Min and TOWER RECORDS Shibuya Collaboration Projects Start Off Press Conference

 

TOWER RECORDS Shibuya in collaboration with today`s brightest artists, will advance together in music production, releasing CDs, by launching the project "LIVE LIVEFUL! COLLABORATION". The first phase of the said project is the collaboration work with "Park Jungmin inc." established by the SS501 member, Park Jung Min who even as a solo artist started to enjoy high popularity in Asia as well as in South America and Europe. It is determined that Park Jung Min`s mini album "Save Us Tonight" will be released on May 12th (Monday).

Prior to that, a joint press conference of TOWER RECORDS SHIBUYA x Park Jungmin inc. has been held on the 8th floor of TOWER RECORDS Shibuya, on April 25th.
 

 

"Park Jungmin inc." is an individual label produced by Park Jung Min. With Park Jung Min`s own album concept, he decided the song concept himself, and not only the Korean lyrics, even the Japanese lyrics have also been written by him. The MV for the title song "Save Us Tonight" has also been produced by him. Also, the jacket design concept and song composition have been created entirely by his own hands. 

 

The press conference has been attended by every news media and 100 members elected from the Official Fans Club. Park Jung Min appeared on the stage surrounded by enthusiastic cheers, waving to the fans while smilling, revealing a pure white set of teeth.
Park Jung Min who has arrived in Japan yesterday, in the past has also held Live, autograph sessions etc. at TOWER RECORDS Shibuya; because he felt that he has a deep destiny he thus sighed a great sorrow and expressed: " Since there were many fans who said that they like my singing voice, I established this label in order to have the possibility of letting my own music be well delivered at any time."

Moreover, this mini-album is a release with 4 versions (Normal Edition, First Press Limited Edition A, First Press Limited Edition B, Korean Edition). The title song "Save Us Tonight“ is ” because from the beginning of my solo activities all my songs have been powerful and sexy, so this time round I want to sing a bright and cheerful song". The cute smiling face photo on the Normal Edition`s jacket is because "I still want to take out the idol-like image before 30 years old (laughs). I still want to be seen as the young and bright Jung Min" he said jokingly with a full sense of humor.

 Also, at the press conference the sound source of "Save Us Tonight" and " あなた以外誰も抱きしめない" (Not embracing anyone other than you) and the "Save Us Tonight" MV have been revealed for the first time. After seeing this MV which brims with dance moves and has cute expressions, Park Jung Min said "When shooting, because I did cute gestures for the first time in a long time, there was a chaos in my head" , "Did you notice that I became cute today?" he smiled. Fans` reaction was also very great and raised the expectation for the new album.

[News] Park Jung Min Ranks #1 Place on Korean and Japanese Music Charts

SS501’s Park Jung Min is creating a stir in Korea and Japan with his comeback.

On November 17, Park Jung Min’s second single, “Beautiful“ that was released on November 14 ranked first place on the daily ranking of Hanteo Charts that sums up the amount of albums sold.

Even in the real-time chart, his single is ranked on the second place after B1A4’s “In The Wind.”

Park showed off his popularity in japan by ranking first place on the daily music video chart, Kstyle.

His other songs, “Not Alone” “Like Tears Are Falling” and “Give Me Your Heart” are all ranked in the second place to fourth place, taking the top of the music chart.

His agency, Yamaha A&R says, “It’s all thanks to all the support of the fans who have been waiting for his comeback after a 22 month-hiatus. Thank you all for waiting.”

[News] Park Jung Min to Return on Stage with Self-Produced Record

Korean singer and musical actor Park Jung-min is coming back to the local music scene with his first self-produced single album.

Park revealed the second teaser video through his official Facebook page on Monday. “Beautiful,” the lead single of his second local single album, is set to drop on November 14.

Compared to his first teaser featuring Park’s neat looks in red and silver suits, the 26-year-old singer showed more natural and dandy looks in the second one.

His official Japanese website described “Beautiful” as a danceable tune with acoustic string sounds that would show Park’s whole new style and his passion to music.

Park made his debut as a member of popular boy band SS501 in 2005 and has appeared in various television shows as well as starring in musicals such as “Greece” in 2008.

Park, who marked himself as solo artist in Japan with stage name Romeo, released the debut single “Give Me Your Heart” in September and second single “Tonight’s the Night” on October 31.

[News] Park Jung Min to Release 1st Japanese Album “Midnight Theatre”

Under his alter-ego ROMEO in Japan, SS501′s Park Jungmin is preparing to release his 1st Japanese album “Midnight Theatre” in December.

After initially making his debut with his 1st Japanese single under ROMEO titled “Give Me Your Heart” in August, Park Jungmin released his 2nd Japanese single “Tonight’s The Night” just a few days ago in October.

With a total of 14 tracks set to be featured in his Japanese album, “Midnight Theatre” will be released in 3 different editions including CD+DVD+photobooklet, CD+photocard+poster, and CD only.

“Midnight Theatre” will be available for purchase on December 19th. He will hold a special showcase for his album on December 18th.

No new releases in the daily charts this week so we'll have to turn our gaze towards the weekly charts instead.

For the weekly single charts, Park Jungmin's alter ego ROMEO made it to the 20th spot after having sold 5,449 copies of his second single "Tonight's the Night." Vocalist John-hoon, actor and member of the disbanded duo UN, revealed yet another Japanese single last week. "Message" reached the 26th spot in the weekly single charts. It sold 4,521 copies. DSP Entertainment's boy groupA-JAX released its second Japanese single last week and managed to get to the 31st spot, selling 3,692 units since its release last week.

John-hoon also released another mini album titled "VOICE 2." This release charted at a 22nd place in the weekly album rankings after selling 3,689 copies since its release date.

The next coming weeks include releases by various other artists including 2PM (11/14), Girls' Generation (11/21), MYNAME (11/21), and FT Island (11/28) among others.

Park Jung Min unveiled his new single album jacket cover recently via his official Facebook. The cover shows a brightly laughing Park Jung Min clad in a tuxedo and posing against a sparkling backdrop.

The new album, Beautiful marks his first since Not Alone was released on January 20 back in 2011.

His agency said, “Park Jung Min’s new album Beautiful is the first album he’s produced himself and he also took part in the entire album’s concept and production planning.”

Beautiful will drop on November 14.

Park Jung Min is currently promoting his second Japanese single, Tonight’s the Night.

[News] Park Jungmin to Release 2nd Japanese Single "Tonight's The Night" at the End of October

SS501's Park Jungmin, who now goes by the stage name ROMEO in Japan, is set to release his 2nd Japanese single under "ROMEO" at the end of October.

Titled "Tonight's The Night," the Japanese single will be available in 5 different editions including Limited Edition Type A through D and a regular edition. If one were to purchase all of the editions, each jacket covers would spell out "ROMEO."

Each of the single's edition will feature three songs including the title track "Tonight's The Night." Each of the edition will then feature two different tracks each.

The regular edition will have "V. The Thirst -Katsubou-" and "Dream Out Loud;" Type A will feature "I. The Dawn -Chinmoku-" and "Kimi Wo Mamorita;" Type B will feature "II. The Moon -Aoi Tsuki" and "Lover's Spirit;" Type C will feature "III. The Touch -Rinraku-" and "Hide and Seek Love;" and Type D will feature "IV. The Thirst -Katsubou-" and "Sin."

"Tonight's The Night" is set to be released on October 31st.

Meanwhile, Park Jungmin recently announced his Korean comeback during a Japanese showcase.
