Since their 3rd single DÉJÀ VU released in March 2008, SS501’s mini album ‘REBIRTH’ special edition package was released after 1 year 7 months.

Special Edition comprises of : 2-type poster, photo + diary (100 pages), CD

In the past 1 year 7 months, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong and Kim Hyung Joon released SS501 special album, Kim Hyun Joong acted as JiHoo sunbae in KBS drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’, Park Jung Min acted as Danny in musical ‘Grease’…SS501 Asia Tour Concert.. They had many activities.

SS501 prepared this album in the midst of preparing for their Asia Tour Concert. Because this album is one that was done after a long time, they have great expectation towards their music, they worked hard as they want to produce a near-perfect album for their fans who have waited for them for such a long time. This album is made even more wonderful with the participation of many famous foreign composers.

Title song ‘LOVE LIKE THIS’ is a song that was initially revealed through their Asia Tour Concert, it received very good response during the concert when it was performed. Composed by Steven Lee, Drew Ryan Scott, Sean Alexander, they tried a new change to this up-tempo synth pop, an impressive song with cute repetitive melody. For an explosive and sharp song arrangement, 6 times Grammy award winner, music engineer Ken Lewis, who arranged songs for America’s top singers like Usher, Kanye West, John Legend, etc, participated in this album, making the quality of the songs to a higher level. In addition, ‘LOVE LIKE THIS’ had received hold requests (buying) from places such as USA and Europe, however when SS501 went to USA for Hollywood Bowl and met with music producer Steven Lee and he gave this song especially for SS501. As of the closing date for the polling of KDF 2009 Awards, Hyun Joong Leader was ranked 1st in KDF award polling by about 20,000 extra votes (Total: 92,339 votes, 55%).

[News] Kim Hyun Joong is Adjusting to His Best Condition to Attend Taiwan Concert

Starting from next month, SS501 Asia Tour Concert will officially begin. Kim Hyun Joon will return back to his team and bring wonderful performance to Taiwan.

On 17 October, Kim Hyun Joong and SS501 will return to Taiwan and hold their Asia Tour Concert at Taipei Arena. Actually, recently Kim Hyun Joong has already gradually started to work on the 2nd album and also involve in preparation for a series of public performances.

Related personnel mentioned: "Actually Hyun Joong himself is very tense with his work and the Asia Tour Concert after his full recovery. While busy with the final preparation for the 2nd album, he also take time to recuperate to handle the coming Asia Tour. Of course, the 1st task is the 1st Taiwan Concert."

This year July, SS501 successfully invaded Taiwan and hold their 1st Fan Meeting. Currently they are preparing for a brand new concert content to return to Taiwan and meet with everybody next month. Five day before the official online ticket sales, the October concert ticket had already hit an 80% sales, from this it showed their popularity in Taiwan. Once the official online sales started, it is even more difficult to get a ticket.

Internal staff mentioned: "Once news about Hyun Joong sickness was released, all have even more anticipated to see him return to Taiwan in good health. Therefore, everybody expectation of this concert is very high. Actually not even local fans from Taiwan, fans from Hong Kong, Singapore and other nearby countries will also visit Taiwan to attend the concert. [NEWS] SS501 Kim Hyun Joong Discharged on 12th Sept

SS501 Kim Hyun Joong who is receiving medical treatment in Japan will return to Korea.

Kim Hyun Joong, member of SS501, had been confirmed with infection of H1N1 influenza virus in Japan, was discharged on 12-Sep.

Some media reported that Kim Hyun Joong will be discharged on 15-Sep but he was already discharged on 12-Sep. He is staying in Japan with his manager to take a break before returning. Kim Hyun Joong has to undergo few more check-ups after being discharged and will return to Korea on 16-Sep.

Kim Hyun Joong has since fully recovered.

Kim Hyun Joong developed high fever during the promotion event of drama ‘Boys over Flowers’ in Yokohama Japan on 5th and 6th Sep.

He finished all his scheduled work, however because of his high fever after the event, he was sent to the emergency unit of a nearby hospital where he was confirmed with infection of H1N1 influenza virus.

[News] Seoul Drama Award 2009 Winner List Announced, SS501 Received Award On Behalf of Kim Hyun Joong

The 4th Seoul Drama Award 2009 prize giving ceremony winners list was released tonight (11 Sept) at Seoul Olympic Park. Seoul had won 5 big prize and was the biggest winner. Among them, winning the Internet Best Actor Award Kim Hyun Joong, could not receive the prize because he was recuperating and quarantined from H1N1 in Japan hospital. The prize was received on behalf by the idol group, SS501's member.


Kim Hyun Joong acted as 'Yoong Ji Hoo' in 'Boys over Flowers', snatched the heart of many girls. Therefore, in the joint internet voting held by 'Seoul Drama Award 2009' and 'Yahoo! Korea', both him and Moon Geun Young, "Painter of the wind', won around 255 million votes and 252 million votes respectively, as the Best Actor and Actress in the heart of internet users in China, Japan, Korea and other Asia countries.

[News] SS501 Fan Meeting in Beijing ; Who is Most Different Off-Screen?

On 29-Aug, popular Korean idol group SS501 ended their Beijing fan meeting successfully. This is SS501 first fan meeting held in Beijing, marking their first step into the China music industry.

SS501 displayed exciting songs and dances at the fan meeting, making the long-awaited fans heated up with enthusiasm. There are 2 sessions of talk time during the fan meeting, fans get to learn more about SS501 through these talk sessions, and SS501 also expressed their plans to perform in China in the future.

In the talk session, the MC asked leader Kim HyunJoong to rank the members according to ‘Who is the most different off-screen?’. Kim HyunJoong first chooses Park JungMin, then Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong, Kim HyungJoon. The MC then asked all 5 members and they began to point to each other. [News + Photos] SS501′s First Asia Tour Concert Kicks Off in Seoul

Popular 5 member group SS501 has started their Persona concert tour. This will be their first Asia tour concert ever and the first concert they’ve had in two years. With the release of their second album coming up, the boys performed 5 of the new songs especially for their fans before the album hits stores. The Seoul concerts are being held on the 1st through the 2nd and they plan to go to Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan throughout the entire tour.



The Boys Over Flowers love continues though, as fellow cast members Lee Min Ho, Kim Bum, and Goo Hye Sun were at the concert cheering on the group. Looks like the concert was a hit though and good luck to the boys on the rest of their tour.

SS501‘s collection album will first be released via online, starting from 18th June with Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong and Kim HyunJoong’s new songs, followed by Park JungMin, Kim HyungJoon and the instrumental versions on 30th June, the album will be officially released on 3rd July.

SS501′s collection album will contain a poster shot in Las Vegas, USA and also the blockbuster drama-styled MV that the members acted in. The first time they’ve filmed a 20 minutes MV since their debut. Kim HyunJoong and Park JungMin act as killers who raise their guns to each other over a woman, Kim KyuJong acts as a separate killer, Heo YoungSaeng and Kim HyunJoong will also appear in the MV. The MV has already completed filming on 30th May.

Before the MV is released, from 15th to 19th June, a teaser video will be released daily (15th – Kyu Jong/ 16th – Hyun Joong/ 17th – Hyung Joon/ 18th – Young Saeng/ 19th – Jung Min). Subsequently, on the 22th and 29th, behind the scenes videos will be released on GOMTV (www.gomtv.com)
