KIM HYUN JOONG HAS LITERALLY BEEN ALL OVER THE MAP THIS YEAR.
Kim Hyun Joong has literally been all over the map this year. Starting with his solo tour in Japan, show in Brazil, fan meeting in Peru, charity donations in China, a trip to Indonesia, and now he is gearing up for his latest Japanese single release the first week of June.
The popular singer and actor shows no signs of slowing down either. The SS501 leader is already starting to excite fans for his Japanese comeback with some tantalizing teasers. The latest being for the upcoming single "Cappuccino."
The short video shows the siThe short video shows the singer in the midst of a colorful party singing to a reggae-influenced beat. The song will be one of three featured on Kim Hyun Joong's third Japanese single album, Tonight, and will be released in its entirety on June 5.
On May 26 the talented singer was featured as a guest on the popular variety series Barefoot Friends. The episode took the cast members on a trip to Indonesia where Kim Hyun Joong showed off his courageous spirit while fishing for prawns. Showing no fear of the crashing waves, the actor rushed to the water in a heroic attempt to claim his prawns. In the end, however, he only managed to catch two.
Earlier this month the generous singer-actor was praised for a donation he made to the Ya'an earthquake victims in China. The Boys Over Flowers actor reportedly donated about $100,000 by way of the One Foundation to aid in the recovery and reconstruction effort in the region.
The organization, which was established by actor Jet Li, disclosed Kim Hyun Joong's donation and expressed the idol's good wishes and support for the earthquake victims.
This past February, Kim Hyun Joong had the opportunity to perform for the first time in South America. On February 24 he took the stage alongside Ailee, Baechigi, and Ongals at the '2K13 FEEL KOREA' event in Brazil. The following day he continued his humanitarian efforts by visiting a center of children in Sao Paulo before heading to Peru for a fan meeting.
In early March Kim Hyun Joong had the opportunity to perform alongside famed English rocker Ringo Starr and his band at the 'U-Express Live 2013' concert in Japan. This was an especially high honor as the event only includes performances by the most popular acts from the six labels under Universal Music. The lineup also included other popular acts like Far East Movement, Naoto Inti Raymi, andKARA.
Already an around-the-world kind of year for Kim Hyun Joong, he has also announced that he will be making his Korean comeback sometime this summer with his highly anticipated third mini-album - his first in nearly two and a half years. The upcoming album is currently in the production phase.
