[Fan Account] Kim Hyun Joong Lotte Fan Meeting in Seoul 2013

A short fan account….

The front bit of the tour was pretty much same as last time. Being ferried from one lotte department store to another, with a very short lunch break on between. Won’t say more as Nanet has helped me put some of it down already.

This FM wasn’t nearly as high as the last one, but still, was nice to be able to see him, especially since my friend was lucky enough to draw us both front row seats! I could be wrong, but somehow felt the pall of CC over the FM this time. But have to say he looked gorgeous from 3-4 m away! Wish I could have captured that beauty, especially with the lighting and smoke etc . One of the reasons for the more sedate audience compared to the concerts is obvious when you think about the demographics of those who are able to afford a tour like this.

Being in the front row is something that might never happen again I guess! And being able to lock eyes with HJ was interesting…. I wonder what he thought of that rude fan staring!

Honestly unlike most people, I’ve always prayed not to be picked for these games etc at the FMs. Maybe I’m crazy . But especially this time round – although most who weren’t there feel exceedingly envious, I have to say I felt sorry for the girls picked to be fed…. He obviously doesn’t do this often enough! Making the kimbap took a bit of practice. Initially his first few rolls struggled, and kept falling apart when he cut it. You should have seen his look of intense concentration when making the Kimbap, and when trying to pack the Kimbap tightly with that kimbap maker thingy… He seemed to think the tighter he squeezed it the less likely it would be to fall apart when cutting. His look while squeezing with all his might !  Eventually some from the audience told him to put it on the straight table and not the roller thing when cutting, and it became smoother from there. He’s a fast learner ! Looked really professional by the end of the kimbap making session. I think even his feeding looked better, though none of the girls were able to speak coherently after having kimbap shoved in – exacerbated at that precise moment by the MC asking the girls questions! And he was really cute opening his mouth while trying to stuff the kimbap in the girls’ mouths! As if trying to coax them,”wider”! MurdererQ obviously thinks the same as me, judging by her photos which perfectly illustrated my thoughts! There were 5 girls chosen for this… The first girl was one of the China fans, in fact, the same girl that received the big bear at the Beijing FM last year. I think the others were all Japanese.

There was a session before the kimbap-making one where he picked three lucky winners from a box. And gave away his football shirt, Artmatic sweater and his favorite freeway cap. The Chinese fans said on weibo that the football shirt and cap had been worn before, and he asked if the fans were going to be disappointed that the sweater was new! And gave a kiss to the shirt, as if to reassure fans. Though at the time it looked to me like he was sniffing it! The Chinese tour group were lucky because they apparently had a translation headset, although I guess it’s also a little disruptive maybe? Since you might not hear his voice all the time if interrupted by some translation. Though honestly I have no idea how that worked. He did acknowledge the Chinese group though, which was nice for them. Perhaps they should organize an overseas one for different countries next time. All of the girls who went upstage had a one to one photo with his arm around them in the case of the kimbap group, this was just prior to the kimbap being stuffed in. You can see this from MurdererQ’s photos.

Performance wise, he’s definitely getting better all the time. He didn’t change attire at all through the whole event, from first song to hi5… Guess he doesn’t need a shower like usual since he didn’t dance either.. He had a ripped jacket and black tank top thingy. The leather pants looked pretty much the same as his ?first Japan concert. Can’t quite recall now.
He didn’t hold out his mike this time during the bit when everyone usually sings “I’m your girl”. Instead, he just gave a small pause… Thankfully the audience took the hint and sang “I’m your girl” at the right moment anyway.

Hi5 as usual was a speedy affair. Not much I can say about it really.
Oh! After that they gave a nice Uzoosin travel case on the way out. And the paper bag was the same as previously.. A very pretty classy paper carrier. I have to confess I still haven’t opened the clock from last time….

btw, a recording of his cover of Incurable Disease
